The artist forcefully presses a Noh mask depicting a young woman against her face. As she struggles to breathe and is overcome with nausea, she violently slams the mask onto the studio floor.

The artist never wished to be born a Japanese woman. Yet, no human being can choose their gender, nationality, or physical appearance. She perceives the existence of such inherent "conditions" as profoundly absurd and violent.

Through this performance, the artist completely rejects the identity of the "Japanese woman"—an existence that is selfishly imposed by this society and constantly, abruptly demanded of her.
